About Deacon Kathy Shahinian

Ordained in 2013, Kathy’s home church is St. Anne’s Annapolis.  In addition to her duties as deacon at St. Anne’s, Annapolis, she served as the Deacon for Public Policy for more than a decade of incredible service to the Diocese of Maryland and the State of Maryland.  In 2022, Kathy+ stepped down as the Director of the Maryland Episcopal Public Policy Network. During her tenure Kathy+ has established vital relationships with legislators, formed alliances with many organizations striving for progressive change in Maryland, and expanded the impact of the Public Policy Network among our 108 congregations and beyond.
